I must say that cutting welfare for the wealthy is a small but good start. Every little bit helps.
The most troubling gap in America today is not an income gap. It is an integrity gap — and even intelligence gap — between Washington and the rest of the country.
via End welfare for the wealthy. Couldn’t agree more with this guy.

Sorry, Coburn. Calling it “welfare for the wealthy” dosn’t change the fact that those who use real welfare–Medicaid, ADC, food stamps, susidized housing, etc, etc, etc–are being enabled by those whom you are demonizing. Maybe it’s only fair that the givers, abused by he libtards who, bottom line, are plain jealous of them, get to take somehing.
But, hey, what the hell: I love the smell of class warfare in the morning..
BTW, you’re right on, Senator, in your assessmenrt of the “integrity gap — and even intelligence gap — between Washington and the rest of the country.”

He nailed it by using the proper term, “integrity” is something quite lacking these days. It doesn’t just apply to Washington either. So many are clueless to what the word signifies. This is ridiculous. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2069007/Starbucks-5-coffees-bought-food-stamps-poor.html

Honor died during the Vietnam protests in the mouth of Jane Fonda.
“Ppolitical corretness” has made us a nation of cowards.
December 3, 2011 at 11:21 pm
It was Coburn touting a GAO report that found billions in duplicate and useless government programs. End the welfare along with the junk government spending and it adds up to more than a little bit.
December 4, 2011 at 8:12 pm
I agree, remember the $600 toilet seats? Every little bit helps. I can’t understand why it is so difficult to control the spending? We do it every single day. We make choices knowing that we don’t have the money to indulge, but government doesn’t live this way.
December 4, 2011 at 10:05 am
Unfortunately integrity cannot be grown in a lab and transplanted into some deficient, it must be instilled in one’s character while young or rarely by life changing events. One proposes some life changing events for these pos.

OT http://www.politico.com/blogs/joshgerstein/1211/Accused_White_House_shooter_opposes_new_mental_exam.html
This is pretty weird: it’s the defense that doesn’t want to declare the WH window shooter a nut; the prosecution wants a second exam. What do you make of it mcnorman?
December 5, 2011 at 7:46 am
Nom, personally I think the whole WH shooter things smells a little funny. Maybe it’s just the cynic in me.
December 5, 2011 at 9:26 am
Maybe not.
Don’t know if you’re familiar with The Ulsterman Report, but there was a cryptic reference to same at the end of a recent post.
According to Ulstterman’s source:

December 5, 2011 at 10:31 am
I hadn’t seen this but that’s what I was beginning to wonder.
December 5, 2011 at 10:45 am
The staging that is, Ulstermann is a complete idiot. How very convenient he ignores BHO’s intelligence background. The split in the military is between those military that want to “win” the various wars and those who run the wars for the plutocrats (which includes intelligence/ BHO).

I am thinking so too after this. It’s not like there are a shortage of unstable people to manipulate.
December 5, 2011 at 6:49 pm
McNorman I read an Ulsterman, WH insider somebody linked to on another blog back in late October…….October 25th or 26th was the date of the report. Anyway in that report fully more than a month before this incident, the supposed insider was talking about just such a thing.
I don’t know if I’m 100% sold on the whole insider stuff…..but whoever is writing that stuff has been right about several things. When I read that one from late October though I got a sick feeling in my stomach to think that such a thing might be perpetrated on the American people.
In fact I was so upset about it I showed it to my husband. He laughed it off and said why do read crap like that. Then when the story broke about the shooter, my husband came running across the house to where I was to tell me about it, LOL!
I agree with Nom, there is no shortage of unstable people out there to manipulate.

Not sold 100% either, but this story came out today. Chilling….

Chilling? It’s a nightmare.
December 6, 2011 at 7:35 am
Yes. It’s meticulously being done.
December 6, 2011 at 7:51 am
The oligarchs divided us up by class not a bunch of goofy protesters. And it’s the media that divides us up by race of which this guy is a part.
I live in a mixed race neighborhood. There was no racial animosity directed at me for not backing BHO, and I made no secret of what I thought of him either. Nor was there any at school and it had a sizable number of black students. The racial thing was a drummed up media hoax used to cover for ballot theft.
December 6, 2011 at 11:08 am
Your neighborhood is very different from mine. I live in a mixed neighborhood and it is class warfare and race that is at the top of the discussion.
December 6, 2011 at 11:12 am
Same here, McNorman.
Still happening, I’m afraid.
December 6, 2011 at 1:10 pm
Racism has been in a steady decline here for a long time and among all American born citizens of whatever ethnicity. Freaking chinese people and east indians are a whole ‘nother ball game.
December 6, 2011 at 7:53 am
It would be more effective if his administration didn’t direct the class warfare. Just sayin.
Maybe some dumbass winger thinks BHO’s a commie marxist socialist abortionist, but anyone with 2 good eyes sees he’s a right wing fascist of the same stripe as the gopers.
December 6, 2011 at 7:34 am
Nom is absolutely correct. You only need one to light the fuse.
