Now if only the other conspirators- including teh fraud and his minions- could follow him to jail.
I see Rezko is going to appeal as well.
The dirt will not be heard in our lifetimes I fear. If Blago threatens to open his trap- he will be in solitary.

or someone will conveniently forget to lock his cell and another prisoner will toast him.

I don’t think Blago will live to see a second in solitary PMM.

OT: Zardari in Dubai hospital with heart problems. Think Gen. Kayani will finally take over?

McN,
You caught my feelings above the excwssivness of the sentnce. I think it likely that he’ll not live to see Christmas, 2012.

It’s creepy. I wonder how much protection his family will need?

And all so that the mofu-in-chief can tank this country.

Did the judge forget all of the testimony and exhibits that
incriminatedincluded Obama, Jarrett, Emanuel and Jackson Jr?Murderers get less time. This is a sham.
Of course, on Morning Joe, Mika sputtered “But..but..but.. he was trying to sell a .Senate seat!!!” (to which the entire panel responded “So?”)
This has Prez Jarrett’s stank all over it, if you ask me…
December 8, 2011 at 7:46 am
Stank is putting it mild. As for the other tidbits that were left in the “fug get about it” pile? That carbon print has been flushed already. 14 years is ridiculous.
Poor Mika, still having trouble with the easy stuff, eh?

Heh
Yeah, she is…

If Val had to answer for everything she has her dirty little fingers in…

It looks like Corzine will be doing the same.

“MF Global”, huh?
Now, there’s a corporate identity that doesn’t lie…
Headline in that link should read: Corzine: “I don’t know where the MF’ing Global money went!!!”

He did more than try to sell the Senate seat. But the nly thing we hear about is that . . . . AS IF that were the crime of the century. The truth is he DIDN’T sell the SEnate seat, and the ones who were vying for it aren’t going to see the inside of the courthouse. He DID, however, arm twist very good agencies and organizations into giving his campaign $$ in exchange for favorable contracts or authorizations for expansion, etc (e.g. Children’s Memorial HOspital). Nothing that hasn’t been done ever since Illinois gave birth to the Daley administrations. But there was a “contract” out on Blago from the very beginning. Sdaly, he will do more time than any corrupt or criminal gang banger or thug or member of “the family”. And that is the penalty for knowing things that can cause problems for TPTB as well as for being a bit arrogant and stupid about it.
People here have quite mixed feelings about this sentence and are quite vocal about their feelings. He initiated several program that helped the 99%. Thus those mixed feelings. Same for former Governor Ryan. But the emotional reactions to what happened during his watch as IL. Sec. of State led to his stiff sentence. (I bet Rezko is relieved r/t the Blago sentence, though. And most likely so is TehOne.)
I can’t imagine he’ll be in any prison that houses people who can do him “in”. But one never knows what he has agreed to and whether he’ll keep his word.
December 8, 2011 at 10:16 am
Not going to a minimum security prison. Going to a “medium security” prison, where he’ll likely meet people he wish he didn’t…..
I think the reason for this sentence is to send a message to anyone else who has info that could potentially damage Prez. Jarrett
December 8, 2011 at 11:49 am
Quite a nasty message.
December 8, 2011 at 1:37 pm
Blagojevich got 14 and Rezko 10 1/2 (?)…
December 8, 2011 at 1:47 pm
From what I read, Rezko is entering an appeal of his sentence.

Yes leslie, it is all about where the bodies are buried. He was forewarned not to talk.
