Condeleeza Rice…Laura Bush was correct when she said that this woman could be POTUS. (Ann Romney thought she would be a fabulous VP. ) Only to be followed by Gov. Susana Martinez from New Mexico.

I found that the GOP is actually weaving quite a tapestry when it comes to being diverse. Kudos to them.

mcnorman- yes the R’s did do quite the job with diversity and show casing women.
The problem is nobody saw it who is not a political junkie. I understand the MSM cut away to talking heads and commercials so as not to show the hispanic and black speakers. The average voter will get the spin of their chosen talking heads.

Yes.

True, but they still have to go grocery shopping, fill up the gas tank and go to the doctor. College grads will still have no job in sight, and forget about their own apartments – they’ll be living at home because their vote in 2008 was decided by their favorite pundit and not their life experience.
In the end, it is the degradation of the quality of our day to day lives that will inform our decisions. Chrissy’s leg can tingle from here to kingdom come – what good will it do when they can’t even afford cable service?

Anthony- yes, the degradation of the quality of life. I just do not know what to do- I will not, can not vote Obama.
But I can not abandon ALL my principles either. Romney picked a vagina minder. Whether he did it as a bone to the crazies or not is irrelevant. The R’s want freedom! FREEDOM!
Unless it is your womb. In which case, no freedom for you! I thought with the pick of Mitt they were maybe going to finally get over it.
sigh
Almost makes me happy my vote does not count.

PMM, I hope and pray that that my vote buys time to slow down the hellacious derailment that we are on (courtesy of Barack). VP is the heartbeat away from POTUS, but in this case all I see is a 4 year term to catch a breather.
Obamacare is already delineating what freedoms you will have. I don’t know that Romney can take that down without everyone helping. I hope he will. I HAVE to hope that he will. I can’t be divided by what man#2 might be able to do if #1 is out. I’m gasping for air right now.

tell me. PMM – how much impact did Al Gore have on Clinton’s presidency? How much impact does Biden have on The Dog Eater’s reign? VP pics are to energize the portion of the base that you have the least support among. Period.
I get what you’re saying, and I understand your feelings about it. But the fact is that Ryan will have very little to do with a Romney presidency. Look to Romney’s record if you want to see how he will govern. He was a Republican governor in one of the bluest states int he union. He legislated in a way that reflected the will of his constituents. I believe he will do the same as POTUS, and that means that I don’t believe there will be any “vagina minding” going on.
This is not to say that you’re wrong in your conclusion – and I’m not trying to change your mind. I’m just showing you the other side of the coin, and as you know it takes me a long time to formulate an opinion. Still, those opinions have been changed when I’m given a perspective other than my own as a lens to view through

Chrissy can stick his fingers in the light socket for all I care now. Someday, those same people who had to eat crap and move back into the basement will be changing his diapers. I do hope that their memory will not be short.
