A leukemia patient making what she calls an ‘end-of-life’ trip to Hawaii says she was embarrassed by security agents at the airport who refused her request for a private pat-down and made her lift her shirt and pull back her bandages.
Michelle Dunaj, from Seattle, also says an agent at Sea-Tac Airport opened a saline bag, contaminating fluid she needs to survive after the machine couldn’t read it.
Sea-Tac Airport: Leukemia patient making ‘end-of-life’ trip to Hawaii says TSA made her pull bandages back. Would they have asked her to pull her shirt up and contaminate the saline bag if she were wearing a burqa?

Yes, the Big Bird one is for the archives. It’s so befitting of the clown.

I have seriously never understood the whole TSA thing. Why can we not just do it like Israel does it? Profile the shit out of people.
Oh- and keeping better track of “students” who are approaching 30 yrs old and have overstayed their visas and haven’t been to class in God knows how long would help too. As would closing our borders.
I worry about how many Al-Qaeda operatives have come over the border from Mexico and are just laying low waiting for orders.

I wholeheartedly agree…profiling like Israel does works. You know, we can’t seem to get past PC in this country to save ourselves. It’s disgusting.
I worry about how many are waiting for their orders as well. I have little faith in this administration to keep our country out of harm’s way.
They can’t keep track of much PMM. All they want to do is fleece the taxpayer. I think that now the jig is up. I read that PA was within 3 points of a Romney takes all. A lot of us are fed up with the dog and pony show that is Barack.

Thrynwouldn’t have even dreamed of it.

Agreed.

I was watching an old program where someone suggested all our TSA agents should be retired soldiers. I think this would be a great idea considering how polite and respectful many of them are, besides the fact that they have actual threat assessment training. There is also one airport that John Stossel talked about on Fox that got early permission to hire their own screeners. They employ the people, so they are more polite and respectful. The government employees don’t have any concern for keeping their jobs, no matter how badly they act.

Not a bad idea. Personally, I really like what Israel does. They don’t have problems because there is training. They make sure that their hires can handle the work on every level.

And of course, everyone has done a mandatory stint in their army.
