Thirteen million American seniors use Medicare Advantage to get their healthcare. To partially fund Obamacare, the President has cut Medicare Advantage by more than $200 billion over the next 10 years.
To make sure seniors don’t notice that Medicare Advantage is being drained to fund Obamacare, the Obama Administration decided to take extralegal action to offset 71% of the cuts this year. But what happens after November 6th? The program ends and Seniors on Medicare Advantage feel Obamacare’s cuts.

They really pushed these for seniors and many of my mother’s friends went with this option because it was easier for them to manage, less expensive and fewer “gottcha” moments in terms of unexpected payouts.
That all changed. Some were able to switch out a couple years ago when they saw there were already major changes. However many others, who get their group rates via retirement benefit plans, found once they went the Advantage route they could not turn back.
A lot of people were caught up short. I have also noticed many changes in Medicare itself. Many items/tests that were covered, at least in part, every two or three years now have 5 year periods.
My mother’s last two six month doctors visits were filled with comments about having to do things a certain way because of obamacare.

You are very correct in stating that many cannot move out of the Advantage Care system because of their retirement plans. Mt. Laurel this is just the tip of the iceberg. Those rotten sobs (and I place a lot of blame on Dems for never having read this turd) will retire on an indemnity plan. One which will never be seen again.
Straight Medicare was okay as it was. If we all went single payer, no problem. We know the rules. That is not the case with this junk that they moved through. There are so many gotchas everywhere. Death panels absolutely. What do you call telling someone that they will allow their medication, but won’t pay for it? I’m speaking of those life sustaining drugs. I have told EVERYONE to take care of whatever business they need to do now. Next year will become very different. I’m seeing people coming in and doing stuff that they could put off for a bit. Now, they won’t take the chance.

Just general campaign stuff:
There were more pleas for people to pick up signs for O for Virginia today. The emails are getting very – intense. They keep mentioning that they are now free for the asking.
Our office sits along a major commuter thoroughfare in Northern Virginia. The off ramps from the bettway and the median are usually completely littered with signs for each and every election cycle including primaries for months ahead of elections. There are very few signs. In 2008 Obama was everywhere (with a few brave McCain/Palin that would appear and then be promptly removed by the obots). For there to be no signs – with a campaign office right in our complex – this is odd. The signs are not intended for the residential area – but for the commuters coming in from the western sections of the region headed for Arlington/DC. That means they figure the signs are more useful in other areas and do not even have a few to spare just for the look.
On another odd note. As I mentioned, no O ads playing. But Romeny’s still are, even in Maryland.
I am also hearing more and more of the MORMON meme. Especially about the MORMON feminists (I would say they are Harry Reid’s variety). They must really be losing the women this go round.
I do worry that they are so desperate that they will pull something really horrendous just to win. I even wonder if they are willing to sacrifice O just to get the win.

I understand your worry. I am hoping to slow down this wreck that we are traversing right now. I know that R is not the answer. I do know that O will put us into the third world within two years at the rate that he is moving. I also am sick at the thought that they will do anything to win four more years. I feel like I am living in S America or Mexico. This is exactly what people fear every election.
If it’s true that Zero is borrowing millions from B of A, then they are in trouble.

B of A. How predictable.
What happened to all the money the got from all those millions of little donors last month? I mean it’s not like O has to pay for the gas for his 100 limo entourage/planes/buses – we do. have they spent that much or is someone pocketing the money as their own private pension fund if they lose. Or was that 181 million as fleeting as twitter when some of the “donors” figured they might be sending good money after bad?
I see R (because let’s face it is not going to be any third party at those point) as a stop gap.
I do wonder at the fear they are trying to create of the Mormon meme. I wonder if it is because it is a religion that is seen as being American. Too American. Goodness knows they are harping on it enough. My mother says this reminds her of 1960. Not a Kennedy fan but she said the hysteria some people developed over the word Catholic was unbelievable (except they were far more polite in public than the obots).

Yeah, that Mormon scary crap stuff is really bothersome. My mom is a die hard Catholic and she sees the same thing. Hysteria to force a different vote. At this point, I think that more and more are looking at what is happening with the economy. Between that and ObamaCare, we are in a heap of Hell imo. So much needs to be fixed or atleast stop the bleeding.
