Feral or domestic dog?  That is the question park rangers at St. Bees Island asked when a dog was spotted on the uninhabited island.

The story starts with a couple boating 5 months previously off the coast of Queensland, Australia, when they hit some choppy waters and their beloved Australian cattle dog named Sophie Tucker was suddenly lost at sea.  Could the dog have survived?

Rangers found the dog aggressive and living in the wild subsisting on baby goats.

The reunion was overwhelming.  The dog instantly recognized its owners, and all are back to the normal.   The cattle dog’s survival has also amazed experts, although the breed is hearty.
