Several people were shot, including a police officer, in the lobby of Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Oakland Thursday afternoon.

Channel 11’s Rick Earle reported that gunmen may also be holding several people hostage inside of the hospital. Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski has learned from a police source that five people were shot and two were killed.

A Zone 4 officer told Channel 11 News that one shooter was found dead in a hospital hallway.

The SWAT team is responding to the scene.

The entire University of Pittsburgh in Oakland is officially on lockdown, officials said. Central Catholic High School, Carlow University and Pittsburgh Public School’s Science and Technology Academy are also on lockdown.
