I am going to assume she is starting with the default settings on templates to get the site up and running. I noticed that her home page – the tab/tag just reads “Home”. That generic should be replaced with her name or whatever name she gives her site/blog (e.g., SharylA).
I would add that it is likely not every story she wants to cover was news worthy in the purest sense. Some are probalby non starters/nonsense when one actually does the research. However, that should be true for anyone in this line of work. Toss around several ideas and aim at making a good selection on a variety of topics . Solid items and not just anecdotal opinion pieces that seem to be written by immature children.
The problem is that it appears just about topic she wanted to address was ditched, research was dismissed as unnecessary and it was made clear that O and gang were not to be questioned. They appear to want that silly exploratory style, not real investigative reporting. This from the same people that went after Bush with a vengeance even when they knew some of the stories were – shall we say – only in their heads.
The news industry has become corrupt and lazy. They do not want to actually have to work at digging out information, verifying facts and developing a cohesive piece with integrity. Easier to just pass along the approved cliff notes from the WH and other preapproved sources.
Putting it mildly Mt.Laurel. haha
They don’t want to work because they don’t have to. If what she says is true (I believe it is.), why bother to investigate anything. Just get your handy copy and read it to the cameras or place it in print. We’ve all known for a long time that “spiking” the news is common. It just galls me that the msm expects everyone to suck down their stories propaganda hook, line and sinker.
Good for her. I can’t believe how bad the media has gotten. I hardly ever watch them anymore and when I do I feel kind of embarrassed for the whole state of journalism. It used to an honorable profession, a cornerstone of our democracy. Today it’s just a joke.
Apparently somebody hacked the CNN ticker and wrote about the missing plane, “We don’t have a f-in clue.” It cracked me up, but it’s also a pretty sad state of affairs when hackers state the obvious truth and it’s a subversive act.
It is a sad state of affairs insanity. Low info is the norm these days. Funny, the internet usually provides more fair coverage of what is happening in the world than those who have jobs doing it for a living.
No respect for the truth is probably what spurred the hacker on. Sad is putting it mildly.
