I love to repurpose.  I think upcycling is one of the best things one can do in this world.  This is a gift that will always be treasured.

The mom of a stillborn baby was left stunned after a stranger who’d bought her unused crib at a garage sale transformed it into a beautiful memorial bench and handed it back.

Valarie Watts was still mourning the July 2013 death of little Noah when she decided to hold the event outside her Cokato, Minnesota, home.

Initially, she refused to part with the bed she’d put together for her baby boy.

But she ended up selling it to craftsman Gerald Kumpula after hearing how he upcycles second-hand furniture.

“His wife was looking through … some of the baby clothes and asked how old my son was since I don’t use the crib anymore,” Watts told My Fox Twin Cities.

So, the craftsman instinct hit.  She would never forget the son that she lost and a painful reminder of what could have been would now become a treasure…via Stranger buys stillborn baby’s crib at garage sale, transforms it into memorial bench — and gifts it back to mom.
