I remember what Katrina did. I also know people who had their computers totaled but the sensitive data needed to be retrieved. Those people who’s data was on those hard drives didn’t have to worry about someone in the outer edges of Mongolia using their private info. It was at a significant cost, but it can be done. Nothing disappears, particularly email. I’m sure that Snowden would concur.
