I think he has already gone way beyond Hover. What we have witnessed is only the top of the iceberg. From what I have seen, the Federal Government, has, in just a few short years, managed to outstrip DC Government for people wanting to jump ship. The reason more do not is that those benefits they get come at a cost. They have to put in a certain number of years or lose it all. Many are choosing to just start over because the new hires are worse and worse and worse and the actual worker bees are surrounded by do nothing bots who openly court political favor.
It’s that bad, huh? I suppose living in the outer wastelands makes it unthinkable to view civil service in this manner. There was a time many decades ago when this was a decent job to have. The money has never been what the private sector pays, but the benefits were always decent. Now, the benefits are looking pretty darned good if you can get to the end of the run.
